Dr. Syed Basit Ali Bukhari is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He joined the department in 2020. Prior to his current appointment, he served as an Assistant Professor at the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCASE), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad.
Dr. Bukhari earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. His research interests include protection and islanding detection of active distribution systems, machine
learning/AI applications in Power systems, microgrid, and smart grid.
