106th meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR)

The 106th meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) at Chella Campus, UAJK, convened on March 6, 2025, with an extensive agenda covering 45 key academic matters. The session focused on implementing decisions from the previous meeting and approving synopses, comprehensive exams, supervisors, admissions, and supervisory committees—critical elements of the university’s M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi reaffirmed the university’s commitment to fostering a strong research culture, emphasizing that “Innovation and impactful research should not remain confined to academic circles; it must serve as a driving force for societal progress and informed policymaking.” He encouraged scholars to undertake projects that directly address regional challenges and contribute to national development.
