- Implementation, updating, and maintenance of UMIS.
- Management and upkeep of Information and Communication Technology infrastructure across all university campuses. Content management and regular updates of University, Faculty, and Student web portals.
- Providing programming and technical support to faculty and researchers to assist in their academic and research activities.
- Provision of video conferencing systems across all campuses for online lectures and virtual meetings. Internet and digital library access is available through HEC-provided PERN bandwidth.
- University portals will support teacher/student interaction with features such as notices, downloadable teaching material, assignment submission, result display, and attendance tracking. Role-based access will be provided for different users.
- Organizing training programs and workshops for computer faculty and IT staff to keep them updated with advancements in technology.
- Establishing fully equipped computer labs in departments where required.
- Lab Engineers, Network Administrators, and System Engineers will guide and support students in conducting lab assignments given by their respective teachers.
- A dedicated computer hardware workshop, supervised by a qualified hardware engineer, will handle maintenance and repair services for all departments.
- After UMIS deployment, departmental data entry operators will work under this center’s supervision to ensure smooth operation of all data-related tasks.
- Providing IT training to teachers, officers, and university employees for using UMIS modules effectively.
- Establishing a software development section to offer solutions to external government departments on a commercial basis—helping to generate additional income for the university.
- Collaborating with IT industry partners to offer skill development opportunities to computer science and engineering students.
