The King Abdullah Campus of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir was built with financial support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It stands as a lasting symbol of friendship between the people of Saudi Arabia and the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Located 21 km from Muzaffarabad along the Muzaffarabad–Islamabad Highway, this modern campus includes academic blocks, an administration block, library, mosque, state-of-the-art auditorium, separate hostels for male and female students and faculty, and other essential amenities.
Construction of the campus began after the devastating 2005 earthquake, and it officially started functioning in 2020. In addition to hostel accommodations, university transport services operate daily to shuttle students between Muzaffarabad city and the campus. Designed with a forward-looking vision, the campus currently hosts around 13 academic departments from the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
