Kashmir is the Jugular Vein of Pakistan: Seminar To Reinforces National Unity
The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) hosted a powerful seminar titled “Kashmir is the Jugular Vein of Pakistan” under the broader theme of National Integration and Cohesion. The event brought together scholars, national figures, and students to reflect on the profound bond between Kashmir and Pakistan.
The session was skillfully moderated by Dr. Shahida Khalique, Coordinator Department of Mass Communication while Ms. Amina Aziz, Coordinator IR Department opened the floor by emphasizing that national harmony is the lifeblood of a united, diverse Pakistan. Dr. Summaira Shafiq, Director Institute of Kashmir Studies, moved the audience with a passionate address on the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and their unwavering connection with Pakistan.
Prof. Dr. Sameena Sabir, Director Kashmir Institute of Economics exposed the threats of hostile propaganda and stressed the need for intellectual vigilance and media literacy. A special appearance by cricketer Ahmed Shehzad added energy and patriotic fervor, as he urged youth to uphold national values.
Colonel Dr. Talaat Shabbir, Director China-Pakistan Study Centre (ISSI), emphasized psychological resilience and unity in the age of hybrid warfare, warning against internal discord and disinformation.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nadeem Haider Bukhari, in his closing remarks, appreciated the initiative and stressed the vital role of academic discourse in strengthening national cohesion and defending the Kashmir cause.
