UAJK, State Bank to Train 3,000 Students under UniPreneurship Initiative
The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) is set to train 3,000 students in business incubation and entrepreneurship under the “One Bank One University—UniPreneurship Initiative” to be launched in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).
The announcement came during a meeting between UAJK authorities and a delegation from SBP led by Syed Asad Abbas Zaidi, Chief Manager of the SBP AJK Branch, and the NBP team headed by Ms. Saima Raheem, Senior Vice President and Regional Head. Mr. Tariq Mehmood, RE HR&SS of NBP, also attended the meeting.
The delegation discussed avenues of collaboration, including the Islamic Banking Road Show, Job Fair, Pakistan Financial Literacy Week, and other joint initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ financial awareness and employability.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Nasir Jamal Khattak welcomed the initiative and assured UAJK’s full support for all future collaborations. He appreciated SBP and NBP’s role in promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurship among youth and presented souvenirs to the visiting teams.
