Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council Engr. Waseem Nazir visited the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and announced important reforms for engineering students and graduates. He shared that PEC will soon launch the Engineering Graduates Placement Program, establish Pathway to Practice Desks in Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, and Mirpur, issue Engineering Cards to students on convocation day, and send one thousand Pakistani engineers to China for international exposure.
In his inspiring address, Engr. Waseem Nazir emphasized that education is not only a source of employment but also a way to become better human beings. He said technology has created equal opportunities for students worldwide, but values and ethics must guide the use of knowledge.
Earlier, Registrar UAJK and Dean Faculty of Engineering welcomed the Chairman and highlighted the engineering programs being offered at the university. Engr. Muhammad Sohail gave a detailed presentation on PEC’s statutory framework, the national engineering landscape, industry insights and pathways to practice.
