Strengthening Health Education through Strategic Partnership

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Farooq Teaching Hospital, Islamabad and the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) to facilitate training, clinical practice, and rotations for students of Health Sciences at UAJK.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Saad Bin Haroon, Medical Superintendent/Chief Administrative Officer of Farooq Hospital, and Dr. Abdul Rauf, Director ORIC, UAJK.

Vice-Chancellor Nasir Jamal Khattak also attended the ceremony. Dr. Kashif Iqbal, Associate Professor, along with his team from the Faculty of Health & Allied Sciences, as well as students, were present on the occasion.

Earlier, in a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, both institutions discussed avenues for enhanced training opportunities, joint research, and innovation. In a generous gesture, the hospital administration also announced subsidized healthcare services for UAJK students and staff.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in bridging academia and healthcare practice for a brighter, healthier future.
