Introduction
The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education was established in October, 2022 at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad. The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education is committed to offer BS (Hons), to equip the future sports scholars and coaches to address the challenges of sports issues. Our programs emphasize scientific academic preparations combined with on the playfield experiences and coaching techniques. We provide an environment and our faculty encourages the students for applied research in areas of Exercise Physiology, Sports Psychology, Sports Nutrition, Sports Bio-mechanics, Scientific Coaching, Sports Administration & Management and Marketing Research in Sports.
The curriculum and pedagogy of the program seeks to emphasize the enhancement of professional abilities and skills of the students with overall leadership qualities. We believe that the mission to which we have been and are committed has significant beneficial effects on our sports organizations in our society. We need to create a strong foundation in order to offer quality education to our students. With a team of experienced faculty members who are experts in their respective fields, the department ensures that students receive guidance in both academic and extracurricular activities. In addition to classroom learning, students participate in various sports competitions, fitness assessments, and community outreach programs that foster teamwork and leadership.
Objectives;
In the era of educational revolution main objective of the BS 4-Years program in Sports Science and Physical Education is to prepare graduates having a deep knowledge of the subjects as well as ability to analyze in a given situation and draw out conclusion. The primary aim of the program is to produce broad base graduates able to face the challenges of the modern world. The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir further aims to prepare students for careers in teaching, coaching, sports administration, and other related fields. It plays a key role in promoting a culture of physical fitness and sportsmanship on campus and beyond.

Mission;
The graduates will be well equipped to pursue diverse career path in sports coaching, athletic training, fitness instruction, Sports Management, and Research. The Department Prepares graduates to make meaningful contribution to the field and positively impact the lives of individuals and communities through Sports Science and Physical Education.
Eligibility Criteria;
The Eligibility Criteria for BS Sports Science and Physical Education is F.A/ F.Sc./ ICS / I Com or equivalent with at least 2nd division (45% Marks). Preference to Sportsman.
