Scheme of Study – BS Computer Science Program
Program Duration
- As per UAJK
- Minimum 4 years, Maximum 6 years
- 8–12 normal semesters
- Thesis in 7th & 8th semesters
Final Year Project proposal will have to be submitted and defended in the 7th semester.
Lectures and Lab Work (Only for Online Classes)
During lockdown situations like the one due to COVID-19, the online/blended educational mode shall be adopted and governed according to the rules and regulations laid down by the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, and the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC).
Lecture Guidelines
- There should be at least two sections of each lecture:
- An online lecture (may be pre-recorded)
- A question-answer/discussion session and an optional problem-solving session
A faculty member may also include additional learning techniques such as seminars, class projects, and simulations to enhance student outcomes.
Lab Guidelines
- If lab work requires specialized hardware (logic design, physics, embedded systems, etc.), alternative methods may be applied such as:
- E-labs
- Simulated labs
- On-Campus Training Workshops may be arranged during the last month of the semester. These must follow SOPs issued by the government and the University, with students divided into small groups accordingly.
