Sardar Masood Khan Praises UAJK’s Academic Excellence and Growth
Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Chancellor of state-based universities, Sardar Masood Khan, commended The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir – UAJK for its remarkable achievements during his visit to the King Abdullah Campus (KAC), Chatter Kallas.
Highlighting the immense potential of AJK’s youth, he emphasized the need for quality education and a supportive environment to enable their academic and societal contributions.
Acknowledging the university’s accomplishments, Sardar Masood Khan said:
“UAJK has demonstrated remarkable performance, securing a respectable position in the national academic landscape. Its quality education, research contributions, and recent accolades, including recognition in the Times Higher Education Ranking, are commendable.”
He also congratulated Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi and the entire team for their efforts in achieving academic excellence, infrastructure development, and research-driven progress.
During his visit, he lauded the picturesque King Abdullah Campus, a generous gift from Saudi Arabia, calling it one of the finest campuses in Pakistan. He also toured newly established laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technology, supported by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), and praised their role in fostering research and innovation.
Prof. Dr. Kaleem Abbasi shared the university’s recent milestones, including academic collaborations, research advancements, and future plans. He also expressed gratitude to the AJK government for its continued financial support, which has helped the university overcome budgetary challenges. Sardar Masood Khan assured his unwavering support for state-based universities, pledging to address the challenges they face. UAJK continues to thrive as a beacon of higher education, inspiring excellence and driving socioeconomic growth in the region.
