In celebration of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Anniversary, The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir – UAJK in collaboration with Helping Hand for Relief & Development and Youth Empowerment Club hosted a powerful seminar titled “𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧’𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐢𝐫.” This event brought together esteemed speakers to discuss the vital connection between Pakistan and Kashmir and the shared quest for freedom.
𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔:
𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐪 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧 emphasized the importance of a strong, stable, and prosperous Pakistan as the cornerstone for the success of the Kashmir freedom movement. He praised Pakistan for its unwavering support of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and urged political leaders to maintain stability.
𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐑) 𝐒𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢 highlighted the pivotal role of universities in shaping the youth and societal awareness. He challenged the nation to reconnect with its ideological roots, reflecting on whether Pakistan continues to adhere to its founding principles.
𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐉𝐊, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐓𝐚𝐪𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢, reinforced the inseparable bond between Kashmir and Pakistan, thanking Pakistan for its steadfast support despite facing its own challenges.
𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐦 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢 spoke on the significance of honoring those who sacrificed for freedom and encouraged the nation to strive toward achieving the goals for which Pakistan was established.
𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐚𝐪 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐝, 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐚𝐭-𝐞-𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐀𝐳𝐚𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐢𝐫, passionately reminded the audience that the Kashmiri freedom struggle is an extension of the Pakistan movement, rooted in a shared belief in the Kalma.
𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐣𝐣𝐚𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐟 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧, 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐢𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞, expressed optimism for the day when the sun of freedom will rise in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
