Introduction

The Department of International Relations was launched in 2019 to fulfill the need for a modern, state-of-the-art academic unit in the field of International Relations at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The department offers a diverse and forward-looking BS International Relations (4-Year) degree program designed to equip students with current knowledge and train them in emerging trends within the discipline. This program holds significant importance in the era of globalization and rapidly changing international dynamics that influence regional and local developments.

Whether aspiring to work in the government sector, multinational organizations, academia, or NGOs, students pursuing this four-year program in International Relations will find numerous career pathways. With a broad array of courses such as Contemporary World History, International Political Economy, International Law and Organization, Diplomacy, Globalization, Foreign Policy, Strategic Studies, and Regional Economic Integration, students are empowered to conduct structured and in-depth research. They also gain a holistic understanding of international affairs and how to apply scholarly perspectives in real-world contexts.
