Jhelum Valley Campus

Adding to the sphere of UAJK’s operation and in view of the educational needs of the inhabitants of the Jehlum Valley, Jhelum Valley Campus has been established on August 01, 2015 at Hattian Bala. The campus has been initially housed in the building of Boys Inter College Hattian Bala along the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad Highway. In the first phase, three undergraduate degree programs have been launched in the disciplines of English, Education and Computer Sciences.

The cultural norms of the area and lack of resources limit the higher education opportunities for the youth especially females who are unable to join higher education institutions in big cities. The university campus at Jhelum Valley is providing the higher education facilities to the youth at their doorsteps and enables them to take part in national development.

Initially, three undergraduate programs are offered based on the needs of the adjoining population:

BS English
BS Education (B. Ed Hons)
BS Computer Science

Further expansion will take place with the passage of time as per requirements and scope.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to the Jhelum Valley Campus, University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Since the University strives allow its students to have an access to the field of learning of their interests by introducing new disciplines, faculties & campuses, Jhelum Valley Campus has been established at Hattian Bala Jhelum Valley-a beautiful junction of important areas of Bagh, Chanari, Leepa, Chokothi, Ghari Dopatta and Muzaffarabad so as to give people of this area an easy access to higher education at their door steps.

Being Director Campus, I extend my all possible support to the undergraduate students during their stay at the campus. I wish you every success in your academic career here at the university campus. I’m confident that the graduates of this Campus will positively contribute their acquired knowledge for betterment of society and prove themselves as role models in their respective professional careers.
