The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir hosted the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan‘s Inter-Varsity Badminton Championship 2025-26 (Men Zone-E). The Men’s Singles Final was played between UET Taxila and University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, in which Muhammad Sarim Khan (UET Taxila) secured the title, while Hamza (UAJK) finished as runner-up.

In the Men’s Doubles category, NUML Islamabad claimed first position and COMSATS University Islamabad stood runner-up.

Vice-Chancellor UAJK, Nasir Jamal Khattak, appreciated the athletes for their competitive performances and acknowledged the participation of teams, coaches, and technical staff from HiTech University Taxila, NUML Islamabad, Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, COMSATS Islamabad, University of Kotli, UET Taxila, and others. He highlighted the importance of focus and positivity in both sports and life.

Director Sports UAJK, Dr. Faisal Butt, expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for his support in promoting sports at the University.
