Muslim Hands Scholarships (MHS)

The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Muslim Hands are initiating an MoU to launch the
Muslim Hands Scholarships (MHS). This program will support BS students from low-income
and disadvantaged backgrounds through merit-cum-need based financial assistance.

The goal is to improve access to higher education, promote academic excellence, and support deserving
students so they can contribute positively to society.

Objectives of the Muslim Hands Scholarships (MHS)
  • Provide access to higher education for deserving students facing financial hardship.
  • Support high-performing students to encourage academic excellence.
  • Contribute to long-term socio-economic development by investing in education.
  • Strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and development organizations.
Eligibility – Application Requirements
  • Applicants must submit a hard copy through their respective Department/Institute.
  • Online submission is compulsory. Both online and hard copy submissions are required.
Yearly Scholarship Distribution
  1. Need-Based Scholarships – 98%
  2. Scholarships for Differently Abled Students – 2%
Need-Based Scholarship Structure
Academic Performance Scholarship Coverage
80% & above 100% Semester Fee Waiver
75–79% 85% Semester Fee Waiver
70–74% 70% Semester Fee Waiver
65–69.9% 50% Semester Fee Waiver

Income Requirement: Parent/Guardian monthly income must not exceed PKR 45,000.

Scholarship for Differently Abled Students

Eligibility will be verified through a NADRA Disability Card or a Disability Certificate issued
by the Social Welfare Department.

Ineligibility Criteria
  1. Failure to meet or maintain the minimum academic requirement.
  2. Any disciplinary action.
  3. Holding a POC, relegation, or semester freeze.
  4. Admission on a self-finance basis.
  5. Providing false or misleading information.
  6. Receiving another scholarship during the same semester.
