Students Showcase Innovative Ideas at Innovest Startup Competition

Students of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir presented a wide range of innovative ideas, including i-LEWS – Intelligent Landslide Early Warning System, Kidsverse – an AI-based 3D Learning World, Techtix, Tourista, FloodAlert, SkinAI, ResQBid, Teachify, Examico, Rideflow, PitchCraft, and many others during the first round of the Innovest Startup Competition (On-Campus League). i-LEWS, a joint venture of the CS & IT and Geology Departments, secured the first position, while Kidsverse from the Software Engineering Department was declared runner-up.

The projects were evaluated by a judging panel comprising Dr. Wajid Aziz (Controller of Examinations), Dr. Ayaz Arif, and Mr. Ahmed Mujtaba (Innovesta). The competition was organized by the Business Incubation Center (BIC) in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science & IT. The proceedings included a welcome address by Dr. Rabia Riaz, followed by remarks from Dr. Abdul Rauf (Director BIC), Prof. Dr. Rafique (Dean Sciences), and Mr. Ahmed Mujtaba, and concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Wajid Aziz, who highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in academia.
