Mushaira Banyan Marsus organized by the Urdu Department
The Mushaira was presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nadeem Haider Bukhari, while Sector Commander ISPR Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan participated as special guests. The poetry recital proved to be a memorable event, where words, tone and enthusiasm came together to salute the courage of the Pakistani armed forces.
Prominent poets Naz Muzaffarbadi, Ahmed Attaullah, Professor Ijaz Nomani, Dr. Syeda Amna Bahar, Haq Nawaz Mughal, Saeed Arshad, Mehtab Alam and other writers participated in this poetry recital and wrote rich poetry in favor of the soldiers of the country.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Nadeem Haider Bukhari said that “Banyan Marsus” is not just an operation but a symbol of national unity, strength of faith and invincible determination. He said that the bravery of the Pakistan Army not only made the nation proud but also destroyed the evil intentions of the enemy.
Sector Commander ISPR, while addressing, said that Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos was a miraculous feat that defeated the enemy’s much larger military power. He said that this operation was not only a victory for Pakistan but also a victory for the honor and dignity of the entire Muslim Ummah. He emphasized that the Kashmir issue is the real dispute between Pakistan and India and in recent days, Pakistan has effectively highlighted this issue. Dr. Mir Yousuf Mir, Head of Urdu Department, thanked all the esteemed poets and said that this poetry recital was a beautiful blend of literature and patriotism that connected the new generation with the national spirit. He said that the soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces will always live in our poems, ghazals and prayers.
