The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir is a multicampus and multi-disciplinary premier public sector University of AJ&K established in 1980. It consists of three campuses namely Main Campus (Muzaffarabad), Neelum Campus (Athmuqam), and Jhelum Valley Campus (Hattian Bala).

The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across its major faculties:

• Faculty of Science & Technology: Offers BS programs such as Computer Science & IT, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Geology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics (with Data Science), and Zoology. Postgraduate options include MS/M.Phil and PhD programs in most of these fields.
• Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences: Undergraduate programs include English, Law, Islamic Studies, International Relations, Economics, Psychology, Mass Communication, Sociology, Urdu, Islamic Banking & Economy, Education, and Art & Design. MS/M.Phil and PhD programs are offered in several areas including Kashmir Studies.
• Faculty of Engineering & Technology: Provides PEC-accredited degrees like B.Sc. Software Engineering, B.Sc. Electrical Engineering, B.Sc. Biomedical Engineering Technology, and B.Sc. Computer Engineering Technology. Postgraduate studies in select technical disciplines are also available.
• Faculty of Health & Allied Health Sciences: Offers BS degrees in Public Health, Clinical Lab Sciences, Radiology, Anesthesia Technology, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Nursing, and Sports & Physical Education. Advanced studies are supported through MS/M.Phil and PhD programs in relevant areas.

The Neelum and Jhelum Valley Campuses currently offer undergraduate degree programs in English and Computer Sciences.
