33rd Academic Council Advances Key Educational Reforms
The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir convened its 33rd Academic Council meeting on April 30, 2025, at the Video Conferencing Room, City Campus Muzaffarabad, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Nadeem Haider Bukhari. Registrar Prof. Dr. Saadat Hanif Dar presented the agenda items for thorough deliberations, leading to important decisions aimed at strengthening academic policies and enhancing institutional performance.
Key approvals included amendments in fee structures of BS programs, relaxation in UGAT requirements for MPhil admissions, adoption of HEC guidelines for awarding honorary degrees, implementation of Supreme Court orders for DAE graduates, and monetization of high-tech lab equipment under the SFD project.
The meeting also endorsed the formation and restructuring of Boards of Studies across multiple departments and discussed policies on CGPA conversion, promotion on chance, and student support measures. The Academic Council reaffirmed UAJK’s commitment to academic excellence, policy reforms, and quality education under visionary leadership.
