His research interests mainly focus on the identification of novel genes by using whole exome sequencing of genetic disorders including Congenital Alopecia, Ectodermal Dysplasias, Polydactyly, Syndactyly and other types of common hereditary diseases such as Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disability, Primary Microcephaly, Skeletal Dysplasias and Eye Disorders. I also interested in functional genomics to understand the genetic factors and biological mechanisms which are involved in development of new genetic phenotypes.
He has published 61 research articles in international journals of repute. he has won various prestigious awards which includes Gold Medal, Pakistan Academy of Sciences, Pakistan.
